Hi, I'm Clara.
We bought our 1920s Charleston house with good bones, bad light, and a lot of love to give it. I'm 32, and somewhere between unpacking boxes and painting the walls a warmer white, I fell completely for the idea of a home that feels like a long, easy exhale — coastal ease with a little Scandinavian restraint.
I write about the rooms I actually live in: whitewashed walls, rattan and linen, and the warm Nordic lighting that pulls it all together. Nothing here is staged for a magazine. It's our real house, lit the way it really glows at golden hour, with the honest story of how each room came together.
I believe the warmth of a home comes from light and texture far more than from money. Most of what I share is small, affordable, and doable in a weekend — because that's how we built this place, one warm swap at a time.
